Role
The BGI project team consistently coordinated and managed the various agencies involved in the project such as the Oakland International Airport, The Port of Oakland, Caltrans, The City of Oakland, and its subcontractors.
Project Details
The BGI team was a major contributor in the build of the Oakland Airport Connector project. The team poured the concrete barriers from the Oakland Coliseum to the Oakland Airport and the stations in between. The concrete poured extended over existing roads and highway to support the rail system needed to support the train. BGI exceeded all expectations of specifications required and crafted the work ahead of schedule producing great cost savings to the project. In addition to the concrete, we managed the placement of the doors and hardware, quality inspections, and the closeout of the project. BGI proudly supported the Buy America program as a part of the Federal Transit project to extend transportation from the BART system to the Oakland Airport.
