Role

Managed all request for information (RFIs) submittals, and each subcontractor’s budget for their scope of work.

Construction Performed

Worked with ATT and managed the I.T. infrastructure installation, for over 6,000 Square feet. Also managed the installation of the I.T. server room and 17 additional I.T. Telecom rooms throughout the newly constructed 446,000 Sq. Ft. Kaiser Permanente medical facilities. We worked closely with OSHPD for resolving design issues and conflicts and managed the I.T. subcontractors while working with other trades and subcontractors to achieve a complete I.T. system installation. The IT systems installed included the Server room cabinet installation and (17) IT equipment racks installation, paging systems, HAM radio, Audio-Video, Patient Monitoring, DAS, Cellular, Public Emergency System. The MPOE installation, Comcast and Kaiser’s facility equipment monitoring systems.

We delivered four months ahead of schedule and within budget.

Project Details

This new Kaiser Permanente in San Leandro, California medical facility consist of a 264-bed, 446,000-square-foot hospital. This “second generation” template hospital, which reflects Kaiser Permanente’s program to establish standardized, yet customizable, state-of-the-art models for design and construction of its hospitals, includes the latest technology for patient care and support.

Accomplishments

The team delivered the medical center seven months ahead of schedule and won a Health Care, Award of Merit for best new hospital in 2014 which included having the best I.T. equipment and services to patients.
